Kentucky Bluegrass Wine Auction & Derby Gala

Kentucky is a magical place to be in the days leading up to “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports,” the Kentucky Derby. LCF has hosted its annual Kentucky Bluegrass Wine Auction & Derby Gala, the nation’s only charity wine event integrating fine wines and horse culture, since 2009. Over the years, the event has become one of the cultural and social highlights of Derby week. The Auction, typically attended by more than 550 guests, has been held at Donamire Farm, a thoroughbred horse farm in Lexington. Attendees include world renowned vintners, affluent Kentucky residents and national guests. Since 2021, LCF has held a smaller major donor-patron event post-COVID and evaluate the location annually. A date for 2025 has not been announced.
