Public Education Forum
LCF has partnered with Central Baptist Hospital to provide a series of education forums on various cancer topics offered free to the public. The series are held twice a year at various locations in central Kentucky. Each series begins with forty-five minutes of shopping with vendors and light refreshments followed by a panel discussion of experts. Topics have included Genetics and Cancer, Cancer and Nutrition, How to Pay for Cancer Care, and Intimacy and Cancer.
The fall 2012 public education event was “The Other Big “C” and a Movie” held on Tuesday, September 25th at 6 p.m. at the Cinemark in Richmond Center.
Get the facts on ovarian cancer and catch a flick! Learn what you need to know – the risk factors, treatments, prevention and the importance of early detection. Door prizes, “Ask a Doc” session, a movie viewing with popcorn and more will be offered at this public education event. All participants will leave with a free gift.
